Its crazy how quick the excitement of focusing on a new path can be quickly changed into doubt and fear. You start second guessing everything you felt good about before. It is so frustrating! My girlfriend was quick to say, name it. She says if you put a name to it, then you can deal with it. So I named it, Frozen Fear.
We all struggle with change. We worry that we will make a mistake or take a wrong direction. But how do we know we won't succeed beyond our greatest dreams? Why don't we focus on that more? Because human instinct is to think of the negatives, to think about the possibility of failure. But this has been overcome, you study and learn from those who have success in their lives they didn't let fear or failure stop them. It gave them more motivation to keep trying.
Its time we all change focusing on the possible negative outcomes............that isn't going to accomplish anything for anyone. Being in a FROZEN state is just that FROZEN! Nothing good can come from that. Our visions and dreams will never become a reality. It takes one step at a time. And how quick the negative monsters jump in to halt your step. I am talking from personal experience here. I have been battling this for the last few days. We have to dig down deep and keep the motivation going that we initially felt and became inspired from. It was there. I felt it, I had the faith to even pull the trigger and quit my jobs. I love this quote, "Doubt your Doubts before you doubt your faith", Dieter F Uchtdorf.
I had the faith to move forward in a direction I have wanted to move for a long time. I have a great support system around me. I have challenges in my life, every day, and unfortunately these challenges often scream louder than the faith I have that I am on the right path. The challenges won't necessarily go away immediately. It will take time and it is going to take mental focus on the new chapters ahead of me. Its time I start writing........
"I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be."
